Description: Intermediate in size, this tree appears to be a hybrid between Acer grandidentatum and Acer saccharum. Tightly upright and pyramidal, its thick leaves are tatter resistant and turn bright red in autumn. Faster growing and more upright than typical bigtooth maple yet smaller and more heat resistant than sugar maple.
